No surprise that we have different memories - it was all really confusing. And possibly he didn't know what hit him. My memories are also different than Stars and Stripes. Anyway, what I wrote is what I remember. I can't remember the name of the man who shot him with the M-79. I remember your dad was having trouble breathing afterward. And it seems like they might have taken him out in a night-time medevac (very unusual). My father's story hashort been told many. Just wanted to let you know he is a great man with so much love to give. He's an honest man and has raised a good family.
